The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow Game Review

Thomasina Bateman, an antiquarian is at present writing a novel about barrows found in England. It will document the treasures that she discovers within. A compelling letter inspires her to go to the small village of Bewlay in the remote countryside of England. The author travels by train and her companion one day later.
When she arrives, however, the mysterious man who had summoned her to her home is not to be located. Her assistant never arrives. The landowner is obstinate in refusing access to the barrow, and even the residents are wary of the woman who’s traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.
The construction of Hob’s Barrow is off to an uneasy start. Thomasina is beginning to have bizarre visions…
